Nick grew up in Brookyn, New York, inheriting his Cleveland fanhood from his father. He watched Josh Bard hit a walkoff home run in his major league debut (in Cleveland) and saw the Tribe knock the Yankees out of the ALDS in 2007 (at Yankee Stadium). He's been a stat enthusiast since high school, using that knowledge during his time announcing football and basketball games for KWUR radio at Washington University in Saint Louis.
