• Ubaldo Jimenez was shut down for the remainder of the season on Wednesday due to a mild right ankle sprain.
• Rafael Perez had surgery on his left shoulder on Wednesday, after a season battling issues with his arm.
• Manager Manny Acta was dismissed on Thursday after a disappointing season.
• In light of Acta’s dismissal, Sandy Alomar Jr. was named the interim manager.

• Lou Marson was caught stealing twice in Monday’s contest with the White Sox. It was the third time since 1921 when an Indians catcher has been caught stealing twice in the same game.
• Jason Kipnis stole his 30^th base of the season on Wednesday. He is the first Indians player to have 30 stolen bases in one season since Grady Sizemore had 38 in 2008.
• On Wednesday, Jason Kipnis, Carlos Santana and Lou Marson each had three walks. It was the first time that three Indians players have had three walks in a nine inning game for the Tribe since Sept. 26, 1956.
• After winning three consecutive games this week, the Indians had their first three-game winning streak since July 3-5.
• The Indians stranded 20 runners on base on Saturday night—the most since 1995 when 23 runners were left on base in one game.
• With the victory on Sunday afternoon, the Indians won their sixth straight series finale—the longest such streak since 2007 when they also won six straight series finales from May 15-30.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Shin-Soo Choo

Choo played a key role for the Indians this week. He had nine RBI total in a week when the Indians offense came alive. He hit .355 with two doubles, three run scored, two stolen bases and four walks. He is currently on a 10-game hitting streak.
