A couple weeks ago now, we got a glimpse at what looked like a leaked set of the 2024 MLB batting practice hats. These are, of course, not to be confused with the spring training hats or the clubhouse hats (which we really never see the players wear) - no, these are a third set of season hats that work hard to part fans from their money.

And in the case of these batting practice caps, they're doing a very good job.

Though they aren't online through the New Era site yet, they do seem to be confirmed as real, and there are a ton of teams with great designs, the Guardians included.

In Cleveland's 2024 batting practice cap design, it incorporates the glorious Flying G logo, which I love and appreciate more with each passing year. And, God willing, we'll one day get it on an actual on-field hat - could that happen in the upcoming City Connect design?

The batting practice look features a blue-and-white crown with blue-and-red racing stripes on the front, reminiscent of the team's 1980s jerseys. And with the red brim, this thing really pops. It's a great look that incorporates the new logo and really shows New Era finally having some fun with Cleveland's new feel.

Finally, there is something they can actually work with.

When these things do go on sale, you can bet I'll be there to buy one (low crown only, please). The all-red spring training hats this year are pretty slick as well, once again using the Flying G logo. But in terms of the batting practice hats, there is some stiff competition for the best one in MLB. Hard to beat a Phillie Phanatic hat to be honest...
