Cleveland Indians: Final Regular Season Power Ranking Roundup
Where did the Cleveland Indians rank in the several versions of final regular season power rankings? Here’s were some of the experts had them land.
The 2020 MLB regular season is in the books. After just 60 games amid the COVID-19 pandemic, 16 teams are moving onto the postseason, including the Cleveland Indians, who put together a 35-25 campaign that saw them clinch the fourth seed in the American League playoffs.
At 35-25, Cleveland finished just one game behind the Minnesota Twins for the AL Central title and finished in a three-way tie with the Chicago White Sox and Atlanta Braves for the fifth-best record in the majors.
This came despite an eight-game losing streak in early September, an offense that finished near the bottom of the league in nearly every key category and manager Terry Francona away from the team nearly the entire year as he battled a non-COVID-19 related medical condition.
With the regular season in the books and a best-of-three Wild Card series with the New York Yankees on deck, here’s a look at where some of the national media outlets ranked the Indians in their final regular season power rankings.
