Carlos Carrasco struggles, Cleveland Indians drop series to Tigers

Carlos Carrasco’s rough outing and another lackluster day resulted in a .. loss for the Cleveland Indians Sunday.
The Cleveland Indians dropped the rubber match of a three-game with the Detroit Tigers set at Progressive Field as Detroit picked up a 7-4 victory Sunday after knocking around Indians veteran Carlos Carrasco.
Detroit opened the scoring in the top of the first as Miguel Cabrera hit a sacrifice fly to plate Victor Reyes and give the Tigers an early 1-0 lead.
That lead would fade fast as in the bottom of the first Cesar Hernandez delivered a leadoff solo home run to centerfield off Tigers rookie starter Tarik Skubal to even the score at one.
In the top of the fourth, the Tigers knocked Carrasco out of the game as Niko Goodrum lined a solo home run and Jorge Bonifacio hit a two-run shot to put Detroit on top 4-1.
Carrasco’s outing lasted just 3.1 innings in which he allowed four runs, seven hits, one walk and struck out four.
Detroit added onto their lead in the bottom of the fifth as Grayson Greiner joined Bonifacio as the second Tiger of the game to hit his first home run of the season as he hit a solo shot off Indians reliever Logan Allen to extend the lead to 5-1.
