Cleveland Indians fans have seen some top talent leave town this offseason, but one player still stands out as the one fans are most upset about.

It’s cold in Cleveland so let’s talk about anger.

Social media is an interesting thing to observe when it comes to the opinions of Cleveland Indians fans. A casual search of any player’s name will reveal tweets about him being the best and others about him being the worst player in MLB history.

But I wanted to focus on some players that have left, seeing which offseason departure has fans most riled up. A perfect topic for a poll!

These results were what I expected, although I’m surprised Bryan Shaw was given so much love, especially considering Twitter is stocked with hot takes about how he is the worst reliever ever to play in Cleveland.

Jay Bruce‘s departure has some fans angry because he signed such a small deal, but his short stint in Cleveland wasn’t enough to get too attached.

Carlos Santana is the man fans are most angry about, and it makes sense. He signed a three-year, $60 million deal with the Philadelphia Phillies, while the Indians countered by signing Yonder Alonso.

I personally am not too angry, but I understand why fans may want to leave angry voicemails for the Dolans.

The anger also comes from the fact the team decided to spend a large chunk of money on both Michael Brantley and Jason Kipnis.

Both players are coming off injury-shortened seasons and are being trusted by the front office to be key pieces on the team once again. If they don’t and Santana tears it up in Philadelphia, it may be wise to stay off Twitter for a bit.
