The Cleveland Indians had a frustrating end to the 2017 season but are looking to be right back in the title hunt in 2018.
Here we are once again talking about “next year” for the Cleveland Indians.
The mood is a bit more somber this time around, but the good news is that the offseason is underway and we can all focus on the 2018 season. The Indians are also no longer the last team to lose the World Series, so they are off the redemption tour for now.
The beginning of the offseason also means the first odds are released for the 2018 World Series, and ESPN.com shared an article with the odds from the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

The Los Angeles Dodgers open up as the favorites with 4-1 odds, but that won’t do much to cheer up the fanbase after the World Series loss.
The Houston Astros enter the year with 6-1 odds as defending champions, while the Indians also enter 2018 with those 6-1 odds.
Offseason odds don’t mean much when it comes to cheering up fans, but the high odds do show Indians fans that this team is poised to be a contender once again in 2018. This doesn’t equal a championship, but it at least keeps fans excited for next year.
If you are looking to make a crazy bet, the Detroit Tigers opened with 300-1 odds. So if you are feeling dangerous, put some money down and maybe they will sign some stars.
