The Cleveland Indians are looking to sweep the ALDS for the second straight year as Carlos Carrasco makes his postseason debut.
For Cleveland Indians fans who are also Cleveland Browns fans, tonight is a relief.
The Indians are looking to sweep the ALDS just like they did in 2016, this time with the New York Yankees as the latest victim.
The lineups are as follows:
More from Away Back Gone
- Cleveland Guardians tantalizingly close to locking up AL Central tiebreakers
- Cleveland Guardians: Terry Francona becomes meme in profanity-laced ejection
- Say goodbye to defensive shifts and hello to bigger bases, pitch clock in 2023
- Cleveland Guardians: Shane Bieber second-fastest to 800 strikeouts in major-league history
- The next week will make or break the Cleveland Guardians’ season
No surprises here as Michael Brantley enters the lineup to replace Edwin Encarnacion, who is miraculously not out for the year after his ankle bent way too far the wrong way in Game 2.
Austin Jackson also gets the nod once again even though the Indians are facing a right-hander as Lonnie Chisenhall hasn’t done too much since returning from his injury. But expect to see him pinch-hit at some point in this game if it’s close.
The game will bring out the best takes, both hot and cold, so be sure to comment on this post throughout the game to share those takes with other Indians fans.

Next: Brantley ready to step in for Edwin
Carlos Carrasco is making his postseason debut, but Indians fans likely aren’t too worried about whether or not he feels the pressure in the Bronx. After Game 2, it is hard to get too down even if things don’t go well at the start.
