The Cleveland Indians are looking to pick up a 15th straight win tonight, and have their ace on the mound against a lowly Chicago White Sox team.

Do you remember the last time the Cleveland Indians lost a game?

The Indians enter Thursday night the winners of 14 straight and are looking to make it a franchise-record 15 straight tonight against the Chicago White Sox. Corey Kluber is on the mound, so the odds are ever in their favor.

A win tonight would best last year’s 14-game win streak, which is crazy when put into perspective.

The Indians joined the American League back in 1901 as the Cleveland Bluebirds. It took all the way until 2016 for the team to win 14 straight games, and the team did it again just one year later. We are all witnessing history in the making.

And it is not like this team has been scraping by to get these wins. They have pitched four shutouts in this span, and have only played in two one-run games. They have scored in double-digits four times and swept two doubleheaders by a combined score of 24-7.

More from Away Back Gone

September is always a time of year when the great teams stand out and the bad teams begin to lose often because they allow some minor leaguers to play, but the Indians are on a whole new level.

Regardless of the competition, the Indians are looking to finish off a perfect 11-game road trip, which is just unheard of. The fact the trip included two doubleheaders makes it that much more insane to think about.

And tonight we get Corey Kluber, looking to follow-up Carlos Carrasco‘s great night on Wednesday.

Kluber is the American League’s ERA leader and a win tonight ties him with Chris Sale and Trevor Bauer for the most wins on the season, with 15. 15 wins to get 15 straight? I like the sound of that.

I don’t want to jinx this team at all, but they appear to be beyond the point of being jinxed right now. With the best pitcher in baseball on the mound tonight, all Indians fans should be tuning in for what should be a historical night.
