Lonnie Chisenhall is back in the minor leagues for a few more rehab games before he returns to the Cleveland Indians for the final month of the season.
The Cleveland Indians spent the weekend picking up three wins over the Kansas City Royals by the combined score of 20-0. So one can say things are going quite well.
The shutout sweep saw some great performances from players like Yandy Diaz, Ryan Merritt and Giovanny Urshela, helping distract from the countless injuries on the roster.
Josh Tomlin is scheduled for his return this week in New York, while Lonnie Chisenhall could be back just a few days later.
Chisenhall spent his Sunday with the Akron RubberDucks, resuming his rehab after getting some time off after the birth of his child.

An 0-3 day is never fun, but the most important thing is that Chisenhall got through the game healthy. We all know the offense will come.
He is set to continue his rehab Tuesday and Wednesday with the Columbus Clippers, according to Jordan Bastian, hopefully ending what has been a long road back to the majors.
The birth of his child added a week to the whole process, but hopefully that time off helps his health. I can’t say the same for his sleep.
Chisenhall is playing left field in his rehab and it appears that is where he will be playing full-time now that Jay Bruce is out in right field.

Add Bradley Zimmer or Austin Jackson in center field and this outfield is looking great, given the health holds up. Introduce Michael Brantley back into the mix and there is a surplus of talent. Never a bad problem to have.
