Cleveland Indians: Jose Ramirez batting second in the All-Star Game
Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez is hitting near the top of the American League lineup in Tuesday’s All-Star Game.
The 2017 MLB All-Star Game is just one day away, but the starting lineup is out and features a Cleveland Indians star near the top.
Jose Ramirez is putting up MVP numbers and finds himself in the top half of an order that features his main competition for the award.
Ramirez currently owns a .332 batting average, which is second in the AL behind Jose Altuve‘s mark of .347. Aaron Judge is third at .329. So saying this lineup is stacked is an understatement.

He is joined in Miami by Michael Brantley, Francisco Lindor, Andrew Miller and Corey Kluber, although the ace won’t be pitching after he started Sunday’s game against the Detroit Tigers. But his absence is just fine, as Indians fans would much rather have him save his energy for the second half.
While the Indians do have five players in Miami, Ramirez is the one that stands out above the rest. He is the true star of this team and was rewarded by the fans with a starting nod.
Ramirez is only 24 years old and is under team control through 2023, so this should only be the beginning of what will end up being a great career in Cleveland.
