The Cleveland Indians have slowed down after the exciting opening series, and are now in the No. 4 spot in FanSided’s MLB power rankings.
The Cleveland Indians haven’t played great baseball to start the season, but a 4-4 record is nothing to be worried about.
Although some fans seem to have no recollection of the past, it is not uncommon for baseball teams to get off to a slow start on offense.
So cool the hot takes for now, because the Indians are still one of the best teams in baseball. That is evident in FanSided’s most recent MLB power rankings, in which the Indians come in as the No. 4 overall team in baseball. The Houston Astros, Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs come in ahead of the Tribe.
This comes after the Indians opened the year in the No. 2 spot, although No. 4 still isn’t bad.
It is only April 13 so fans must prepare for countless more ups and downs throughout the season. We must all remember that the team is still without Jason Kipnis, and Lonnie Chisenhall is just now making his debut. It will take at least a month with an entirely healthy lineup to gauge how well this team is doing.

Regardless, the lineup is still filled with stars who are getting adjusted to the long haul that is the regular season.
Michael Brantley is returning from nearly an entire year off from baseball, while Edwin Encarnacion is adjusting to a new team and the pressure that comes with a major contract.
Oh, and it has only been eight games, so as long as no one is striking out every single at-bat, there is no reason to worry.
Have I made it clear that it has only been eight games?

Anyway, the fact this team is still considered one of the best in baseball shows how dominant the team is, and how the players are viewed on a national level. Things have gotten off to a slow start, but expect the Indians to rise up in the power rankings sooner than later.
