The Cleveland Indians and Mother Nature clearly aren’t friends, not even Facebook friends. The weather forced another postponement for the Tribe in their series finale against the White Sox.

The
Cleveland Indiansmight very well finish the month of April with about 10 games under their belt if things keep going this way. More bad weather kept the Indians and Chicago White Sox from taking the field on Sunday, meaning the Indians are looking forward to some doubleheaders or missed off days in the future. The positive? Ten days into the month and they’re still a .500 ball club.
With so many veterans making the club, the Indians needed to make moves to make room. After designating Zach Walters and James Ramsey for assignment, the Tribe has now traded both to the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash considerations. Ramsey was added to the 40-man roster in order to protect him from the Rule 5 draft, so he came as a bit of a surprise. Walters was running out of options, and didn’t seem to fit into the Indians future plans.
Okay, I realize he plays for the Rockies. Thin air, ball carries, etc, But rookie Trevor Story is off to an unprecedented start for Colorado. He slugged his seventh home run in six games. That’s more than 16 other teams. We know that the Rockies aren’t going to outpitch other teams in Coors Field, so they need to outscore them. Story is giving them another bit of firepower to make that a possibility.
