The Cleveland Indians made the Juan Uribe signing official; Tribe outfield has question marks, but Terry Francona seems fine with it.

The Cleveland Indians addition of Juan Uribe took a little while to become official as he has issues with his visa to return to the U.S., but all that is behind him now as the deal became official on Sunday. Uribe figures to see most of the time at third base, but can move around the infield a bit if necessary.

The Indians have plenty of options for the outfield, even with Michael Brantley out a month and Abraham Almonte suspended for 80-games. Unfortunately, while there are many there aren’t too many great options to pick from. Most are platoon players at best, and Lonnie Chisenhall is still adjusting to the outfield. But skipper Terry Francona says he’s content with what the team has in-house.

After Joey Butler broke up Carlos Carrasco‘s no-hitter in Tampa Bay, he wasn’t too sure how their first encounter would go as he battles for a spot in the Tribe outfield. But the two have hit it off, as Carrasco brushed it all off as “just baseball”.
