Indians’ Kluber May Have Just Made All-Star Team

Although Corey Kluber was shunned by society during the recent MLB Final Vote campaign to earn the final spot on the American League All-Star roster, things could be looking up for the stern-looking righty:

You see, David Price is on the AL All-Star team, but after being scratched from his Saturday start due to illness (Jake Odorizzi is taking his turn today), Price could pitch on Sunday. If he pitches on Sunday, he won’t be eligible to appear in the All-Star game on Tuesday night at Target Field.
That would open up another spot on the AL roster, which will need another arm. The perfect solution to that “issue” would be the one and only Corey Kluber.

Kluber is certainly deserving with his 9-6 record, 3.01 ERA and 142:32 K:BB over 131.2 innings (just 15.2 innings short of his career-high) this season.

We’ll see what happens, but it would be tremendous news for the Indians and Cleveland after a pretty exciting Friday.
