When Major League Baseball's Spring Breakout games begin later this week, the future stars of every team, including the Cleveland Guardians, will take the field as they showcase what the best of Minor League Baseball has to offer. Cleveland's group of players who are participating just so happen to be considered among the best the sport has to offer.

According to a ranking of the 10 best Spring Breakout rosters from MLB.com's Sam Dykstra, the Guardians have the seventh-best group. It is an AL Central-heavy list from Dykstra, with the Chicago White Sox being ranked second, the Detroit Tigers coming in fourth, and the Kansas City Royals' ninth-place ranking joining the Guardians in this list. The only team in the division that did not happen to crack the Top 10 was the Minnesota Twins.

The trio of Travis Bazzana, Jaison Chourio, and Angel Genao appear to be playing a large role in Cleveland's placement on this list. MLB Pipeline's list of Top 100 prospects includes all three players, with Bazzana's ranking of 10th overall leading the group (Chourio is ranked 59th while Genao is 61st). Of this group, Bazzana is the closest to making his MLB Debut, as that is expected to happen at some point in the 2025 season. Genao's expected year of debut is one season later (2026), while Chourio is a bit further away (2027).

Other prospects mentioned include Ralphy Velazquez and C.J. Kayfus. Even though neither player is in the Top 100 overall prospects, they are just inside the Top 10 at first base, according to MLB Pipeline (Velazquez is eighth, and Kayfus is ninth). Kayfus is projected to debut in 2025 while Velazquez is a couple of years away (2027).

Cleveland's Spring Breakout Game will be on Friday March 14th, as the Guardians take on the Seattle Mariners as the second part of a doubleheader featuring a standard Major League spring training game between the two clubs.
