Get used to this, Guardians fans.
While it's never fair to extrapolate too much from any spring training results, Guardians top prospect Travis Bazzana put that theory to the test on Tuesday with a 423-foot home run that left his bat at 107.9 miles per hour.
That'll play.

And if that's not enough, Bazzana's majestic blast came against the defending champion Dodgers, albiet against Edgardo Henriquez, who only threw 22 pitches last year.
Still, there's no denying that Bazzana's spring training dinger was a great step in the right direction for the top prospect who should make his MLB debut at some point in 2026.

Bazzana's homer came on a 98.5 mile per hour sinker that Henriquez left over the middle of the plate that Bazzana punished.
While Bazzana's game isn't built around power, it's still incredibly encouraging to see him destory a meatball like the pitch that Henriquez threw.
It was also the first hit of the spring for Bazzana, who entered the game 0-for-5 through his first two games of spring action. He added a bloop single to left-center in the fifth inning.
The homer will also help Bazzana get in a good headspace before the upcoming World Baseball Classic, where he's set to represent Australia.
Bazzana's going to leave Guardians' camp soon for the start of the WBC, so it was good for him to get some kind of positive result on the board at camp before then.
Last year Bazzana earned some hype toward a big league call-up when he was promoted to Triple-A, but his season came to an end at the start of September thanks to an oblique injury.
It looks like he's left that injury in the past by virtue of his eye-popping homer.
The moonshot came on a huge day for members of the 2024 MLB Draft class, as Pittsburgh's Konnor Griffin (who was selected with the No. 9 pick in that draft) homered twice in the Pirates' spring training game against the Red Sox.

Griffin and Bazzana will likely be compared to each other for the foreseeable future considering they both play in the middle-infield and were key members of that draft class, but Bazzana's homer was another example that hope isn't lost (espically since neither of them have made their MLB debut).
It'll be interesting to see how aggressive the Guardians will be with Bazzana, who isn't on the Guardians' 40-man roster. Gabriel Arias and Brayan Rocchio are the Guardians' top two middle-infield options, but neither of them did much last season to prove that they should be everyday players.
Bazzana and Juan Britoare both waiting in the wings, and it's hard to imagine a world where both of them don't make their MLB debut at some point in 2026.
Bazzana's homer on Tuesday was a firm reminder of just what Bazzana brings to the table.
