Three runs in the top of the seventh inning by the Philadelphia Phillies was one run short of catching the Cleveland Guardians on Friday night.

The two teams will now face-off in the second of their three-game interleague series on Saturday.

Let's dive into the odds for the game and then I'll break down why the Guardians are the right side to back with your money.

Phillies vs. Guardians odds, run line, and total

Phillies vs. Guardians prediction and pick

If you're going to bet against the Guardians, the time to do it is when they're facing a left-handed pitcher. That's not the case tonight in what will be a battle of righties.

Zack Wheeler (4.04 ERA) will get the start for the Phillies and he'll face-off against Tanner Bibee (3.32 ERA) of the Guardians. Cleveland has had one of the best offenses in the Majors against right-handed pitchers over the last 30 days, ranking first in batting average (.290) and seventh in OPS (.789).

That should set them up well against Wheeler, who has allowed at least three earned runs in four straight starts.

Meanwhile, the opposite is true for the Phillies. Their OPS drops from .856 against lefties down to .707 against righties over the last month, which ranks 20th in the Majors over that stretch.

With the Guardians being said as home underdogs tonight, I love them in this spot.
