The Cleveland Guardians find themselves back atop the AL Central, so it's time for them to continue that momentum when they head to Chicago to take on the Cubs in a three-game set.

Cal Quantrill will get the start for the Guardians in Game 1 on Friday afternoon. He's looking to bounce back after the two rough performances he had before getting placed on the IL. This will be his first start in the Majors since late May.

Let's take a look at the odds for Friday's matinee matchup and then I'll break down my best bet.

Guardians vs. Cubs odds, run line, and total

Guardians vs. Cubs prediction and pick

Don't let the Guardians record fool you, their offense has actually been one of the best in Major League Baseball over the past month. In fact, in the month of June they're seventh in Majors in OPS at .765 and second in batting average at .280.

Even with that being the case, we can somehow bet them as underdogs on Friday against a Cubs team that ranks 22nd and 19th in those respective stats over the same time frame.

Let's also do our best to not overreact to the last two starts by Quantrill. He seems to be healthy now and he looked strong in his rehab start win the minors, pitching 5.0 scoreless innings.

Now is a great time to buy low on the Guardians. Their offense is hot and they're prime to take control over a weak AL Central.
