Coming off the high of the weekend's sweep of the Minnesota Twins, the Cleveland Guardians are 30-17 and possess one of the best records in baseball. This is a team that continues to prove that they are for real and are going to be in position to make some noise in the postseason. With that in mind, it is not exactly a surprise to see them ranked highly in MLB. Power Rankings lists.

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter released the updated rankings, with the Guardians moving up from last week's ranking of eighth to fifth. Reuter would go on to mention Cleveland's run production as a reason why they have made their way up the list.

"The offense has scored seven or more runs four times in the club's last seven games, which is a promising sign from a team that had been lacking in consistent support for Josh Naylor and José Ramírez."

The fact that the Guardians are having players not named Josh Naylor or Jose Ramirez drive in runs is huge. And the fact that this is being done with Steven Kwan still on the injured list is also a good sign, considering he is one of the best players on the team. This a complete turnaround of what was a major issue for this team last year, as they were very dependent on Naylor, Ramirez, and Kwan to do everything offensively. Being able to get meaningful contributions from others in the lineup is something that was going to be needed if they were going to be more successful this season.

Of course, this team is not without faults. There are a couple of bats in the lineup that are not pulling their weight offensively and could see their time with the major league club come to an end sooner rather than later.A couple of moves, call-ups, or trades, are going to be required if this team is going to go on a deep postseason run, but that is something to focus on at a later time.
