Probable Starting Pitchers

The Cleveland Guardians have called up Logan Allen to start against the Miami Marlins in what is his MLB debut. Allen has been outstanding in three starts for Triple-A Columbus, with a just two runs allowed in 14.1 innings with 20 strikeouts to just one walk. There is going to be an adjustment for Allen when it comes to be facing major league hitters, but he has shown he has the stuff to potentially make an impact for the Guardians. Next up in the rotation for Miami is Jesus Luzardo. This is the third straight lefty that Miami has used in this series, considering the Guardians have been shut down this weekend it is easy to see why they continue to use this strategy. Luzardo is by far the best left hander they will see in this series. Allowing just seven runs in 21 innings of work, Luzardo has shut down offenses that all have scored more runs than Cleveland this season in the Mets, Phillies, Giants, and Twins. The Guardians are going to have their work cut out for them if they are going to avoid being swept at home by Miami.
