Cleveland Guardians Probable Pitchers & Starting Lineup vs Detroit Tigers April 18 Game 2
Probable Starting Pitchers
The Guardians will feature Peyton Battenfield on the mound for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader. Battenfield made his major league debut against the Yankees in his last start, allowing one earned run (two total) on four hits while striking out three in 4.2 innings. The Guardians rookie exited the game with a slim 3-2 lead even though he would not have been eligible to receive credit for the win if Cleveland would have come out victorious. Detroit will be going will a second straight lefty Tuesday in Eduardo Rodriguez. Rodriguez has allowed eight runs in 16 innings this season with five walks and nine strikeouts. Detroit's visit north of the border to Toronto was Rodriguez' first without allowing a home run as he allowed three total to Houston and Tampa Bay in his first two starts of the season.
