Probable Starting Pitchers

The Guardians are going with Logan Allen for Sunday's series finale in Boston while the Red Sox turn to Chris Sale. Allen is coming off an impressive MLB debut which saw the lefty shut down the Marlins, allowing one run on five hits in 6 innings while striking out eight along the way. Boston is more potent lineup than the Marlins and that could prove to be a more difficult task for Allen in his second career start. Sale is quite familar with facing Cleveland, having been a member of the White Sox for so long. The veteran lefty has been able to limit damage from Cleveland's bats in the past and it could happen again today. What the Guardians are hoping for is that the Sale of the present shows up rather than the Sale of the past. It has not been a good start for Sale this season as he has allowed 21 runs in 23 innings, including three starts in which five or more came across.
