Tanner Bibee will take the mound for the Cleveland Guardians in their first game in Texas. Bibee is looking for better results in this outing, as his last two have seen him give up 10 runs in 9 innings to the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels. Considering that the Rangers are a better team than both of his previous opponents, it could be a tough task for Bibee this time around.

Bibee has a surprisingly large amount of previous matchups with Rangers hitters, considering that they are not a divisional opponent. With 10 hits in 39 at-bats against Bibee, Texas has performed more than adequately when facing Cleveland's young right-hander. Texas has tabbed Michael Lorenzen as the starter for Monday's game. Lorenzen is coming off a disastrous start, which saw him give up six runs on nine hits in a loss to the Oakland Athletics. It was the third straight loss in a Lorenzen start for Texas and the second time in three games that he allowed five or more runs.

Guardians hitters have not hit Lorenzen particularly well in previous matchups, registering six hits in 31 at-bats, half surprisingly belonging to Austin Hedges. Jose Ramirez has two hits in eight at-bats, with Will Brennan being the only other hitter with a hit against Lorenzen. Josh Naylor (0-7), Andres Gimenez (0-5), and Ramon Laureano (0-3) are yet to get a hit off the 32-year-old veteran.
