Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

Logan Allen will be tasked with starting Thursday's series finale against the Seattle Mariners with a chance to win the series after splitting the first two games. Allen has settled back into a groove on the mound, allowing just three runs in his last two starts. This comes after a disastrous outing in Colorado, which saw him give up seven runs on six hits in 1.2 innings. Another similar outing would put the Guardians in position to win their final game against the Mariners.

Allen has faced Seattle once already, and it was one of his best outings of the season. The second-year left-hander pitched 6.2 innings of shutout baseball, allowing just four hits while striking out six and walking four.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

Seattle has tabbed Luis Castillo as their starter for Thursday afternoon's matchup. Castillo has been very consistent this season, allowing two runs or less in 11 of his 15 starts this season, including a streak of five straight that made up all of his starts during the month of May.

One of the few times that Castillo has allowed more than two runs occurred in a start against Cleveland earlier this season. The Guardians scored four runs on 10 hits in 5.2 innings against Castillo, the second of three consecutive games where he allowed four runs. While he has settled in since then, there is a very good possibility that Cleveland is able to put together a repeat performance of their previous meeting.
