Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

Looking to get their series with the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates started off on the right foot, the Cleveland Guardians will have Ben Lively start on Friday night.

Lively has allowed two runs in three of his five starts during the month of August and will be looking to make it a fourth against Pittsburgh. The 32-year-old veteran will also hope to pitch at least six innings for the fourth time this month as well, in order to take some pressure off the bullpen and lessen their usage rate.

Interestingly enough, Cleveland has alternated wins and losses in all five of Lively's starts during the month of August, with his last start being a Guardians win. Hopefully, they will be able to buck that trend and win back-to-back Lively starts for the first time since July 26th and August 1st.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

Bailey Falter gets the nod for the Buccos in their matchup with Cleveland. Falter is coming off a start that saw him allow five runs on six hits in 5 innings against the Cincinnati Reds. Pittsburgh did get the win in that matchup, but with an outing like that, it could have just as easily gone the other way.

Who is starting for the Cleveland Guardians today?

LF Steven Kwan, CF Lane Thomas, 3B Jose Ramirez, DH David Fry, 1B Josh Naylor, RF Jhonkensy Noel, 2B Andres Gimenez, SS Brayan Rocchio, C Austin Hedges
