Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

The Guardians will have left-hander Logan Allen take the mound for the second game against the visiting Oakland Athletics. Allen is coming off two straight starts that have not gone particularly well, giving up nine runs on 13 hits in 9.2 innings against the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. The 25-year-old has proven he is capable of pitching better than this in the past and has a chance to do so on Saturday.

Allen has already faced the Athletics this season, giving up three runs on six hits in 5 innings. J.D. Davis managed to go yard twice off of Allen, and he will need to eliminate the mistake pitches from those at-bats this time around if the Guardians are going to come out on top against an inferior team.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

Oakland will have Alex Wood start the second game of the series. To say things have not gone well for Wood so far would be an understatement. With an ERA above 8 and WHIP above 2, Wood is not fooling anyone at the moment, and that has led to giving up three or more runs in three of his first four starts of the season, the most recent being four runs allowed to the Washington Nationals.

The Guardians touched up Wood once already, scoring six times in 3.1 innings against the Oakland lefty, and they appear poised to do it again. Cleveland's offense has been one of the better performers in Major League Baseball so far, and that should continue on Saturday.
