Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

The Cleveland Guardians are looking to secure a series win against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday and will be doing so with Logan Allen on the mound. Allen is coming off one of his best starts of the season last time out, shutting out the Chicago White Sox over 6 innings with just six hits and one walk allowed. The hope is that this was a turning point for Allen, as most of his outings in 2024 have been somewhat of a struggle.

In 27 previous at-bats, Twins hitters have seven hits against Allen, including two doubles and one home run. It will not necessarily be easy for Allen to carry over his last start's success, but it will not be completely impossible.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

The Twins will be countering with right-hander Bailey Ober. The 28-year-old is coming off his best start of the season, striking out 10 Toronto Blue Jays in 6.1 innings while allowing only one hit and keeping them off the scoreboard. Cleveland is hoping that he will be more hittable in this start.

Of Guardians with more than three at-bats against Ober, Jose Ramirez has been the most successful with three hits in 11 at-bats, this includes one double. Josh Naylor also has two hits, with one being a double. Andres Gimenez has not experienced any success against Ober, going 0-8.
