Cleveland Guardians Probable Pitcher and Starting Lineup vs Miami Marlins June 7
Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?
The Cleveland Guardians have tabbed Logan Allen as their starter for their first game down in Miami. Allen was originally slated to start the second game of Cleveland's series with Kansas City before being bumped for what appeared to be an opener situation with Nick Sandlin being named the starter with Allen expected to pitch afterward, but a rainout prevented that from happening.
Allen has pitched very well and very poorly this season, going from seven runs allowed in 2.1 innings to a two-game stretch without letting a run score. It really is a mixed bag when it comes to Allen's outings, and it is not exactly a surprise why the Guardians were planning to have Sandlin start in place of him on Wednesday. Perhaps facing a lifeless Marlins lineup will result in a good outing that Allen can build upon moving forward.
Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?
Ryan Weathers draws the start for Miami on Friday. While Weathers did strike out 11 Texas Rangers in his last start, he allowed four runs, which was more than enough to hand him the loss as the Marlins failed to score in the contest. This was the second-most runs allowed by Weathers this season, with every other start having three or fewer runs come across to score. It will be a tough matchup for the Guardians, but one they should be more than capable of coming out victorious in.
