Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

Logan Allen will take the mound for Game 2 as the Cleveland Guardians look to secure a series win against the Detroit Tigers. Allen is coming off one of his better outings of the season last time out, allowing two runs (three total) on seven hits in 5.2 innings. It is still not great, but it is better than his previous four starts, which saw him average four runs allowed.

There is not a lengthy track record between Allen and Detroit, with the left-hander allowing four runs in 16 at-bats. Spencer Torkelson, Riley Greene, Andy Ibanez, and Matt Vierling all have one hit each, while Javier Baez, Kerry Carpenter, and Jake Rogers are hitless.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

Looking to force a rubber match on Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers will have Kenta Maeda start Tuesday's game. It was a rough start for Maeda, allowing 17 runs in his first 17.2 innings (four starts) this season, but he has since turned things around with just one run allowed in his last two starts (11 innings).

Guardians hitters have experienced some success when facing Maeda in the past, collecting 15 hits in 54 at-bats. Surprisingly, very little of that has come from Jose Ramirez (2-16, one home run) and Josh Naylor (3-13, two doubles). It is a very unlikely player on the Guardians that has the most hits against Maeda, as Austin Hedges is 4-10 with a double. Gabriel Arias (2-2, two doubles) and Ramon Laureano (2-6) are the only other Guardians with multiple hits in previous matchups with Maeda.

Who is starting for the Cleveland Guardians today?
