Cleveland Guardians Probable Pitcher and Starting Lineup vs Detroit Tigers July 24
Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?
The Cleveland Guardians will have Tanner Bibee take the mound in Wednesday's contest as they look to at least earn a split of their four-game series with the visiting Detroit Tigers. This will be Bibee's second start following the All-Star Break, and he will be looking to build upon his last outing, which saw him allow just two hits in 5.2 innings of shutout baseball against the San Diego Padres.
Wednesday night's matchup with the Tigers will be the third time that Bibee has faced Detroit this season. The previous two outings were nearly identical as Bibee allowed four runs on five hits in both contests while striking out eight with a 5-4 final score, the only difference being the length of his start (4 innings in May compared to 7 two weeks ago) and result (Cleveland won Bibee's first start and lost his second).
Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?
Jack Flaherty gets the call for Detroit as this could be his final start in a Tigers uniform. Flaherty has faced Cleveland twice this season, allowing two runs on six hits in 6 innings back in May while giving up just one run on two hits in 6 innings nearly two weeks ago. The Guardians will be looking to do more damage against Flaherty this time around and hopefully come away with a win in this matchup.
