Cleveland Guardians Probable Pitcher and Starting Lineup vs Detroit Tigers July 11
Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?
Spencer Howard is set to make his debut for the Cleveland Guardians in Thursday afternoon's series finale with the Detroit Tigers. Cleveland recently acquired Howard from the San Francisco Giants after a less-than-stellar stint in the Bay Area.
Howard has mostly struggled in the big leagues, with a career 6.93 ERA and 1.698 WHIP in 139 innings over five years with three different organizations. Cleveland is hoping they can get something, anything, out of Howard while they are working through a tough time with their own rotation. Perhaps they saw something they identified as an easy fix that could make him live up to his second-round status.
Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?
Jack Flaherty gets the call for Detroit as they look to secure a series win against the visiting Guardians. Flaherty will be looking to have a better outing than his last start, which saw him give up five runs, including three home runs, to a very lackluster Los Angeles Angels squad.
This will be the second time the Guardians will face Flaherty in a Tigers uniform this season. Cleveland only managed to win by a 2-1 final score last time out, thanks to a tie-breaking solo home run from Jose Ramirez in the 6th inning. The Guardians are looking to score more than that as they are trying to leave Detroit with a 2-2 series split.
Who is starting for the Cleveland Guardians today?
LF Steven Kwan, CF Angel Martinez, DH Jose Ramirez, 3B Daniel Schneemann, 1B David Fry, 2B Andres GImenez, RF Will Brennan, C Bo Naylor, SS Brayan Rocchio
