Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

Triston McKenzie draws the start for the first game down in Cincinnati. McKenzie was roughed up by the Kansas City Royals last time out, giving up five runs on nine hits, three of which were home runs, in 5.1 innings. The 26-year-old would strike out seven and walk two in what ended up being an 8-5 win for the Guardians. This was the first time McKenzie walked fewer than three batters in over a month and hopefully is something that can carry over into Tuesday's start against the Reds.

Only two batters in Cincinnati's lineup have recorded more than one hit against McKenzie, Jeimer Candelario and Santiago Espinal. Candelario is 2-13 with a double and a home run, while Espinal is 3-7 with a double.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

It will be Brent Suter who is slated to open up the game for Cincinnati. The 34-year-old Suter normally works out of the bullpen but will be starting the game in an attempt to force Guardians manager Stephen Vogt to make some lineup decisions involving a few of Cleveland's left-handed hitters.

As a team, the Guardians are 1-11 with two strikeouts against Suter, with Jose Ramirez having Cleveland's lone hit, a home run. Austin Hedges is the only batter for Cleveland who has faced Suter more than once, and he is 0-4 with one strikeout in those matchups.
