Cleveland Guardians Probable Pitcher and Starting Lineup vs Chicago White Sox September 10
Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?
After taking the first game in Chicago, the Cleveland Guardians will have Ben Lively start Tuesday night's affair. Lively has experienced some regression on the mound lately, allowing 10 runs in his last two starts combined. Perhaps what may be more concerning for Lively is that he failed to pitch through the 5th inning in both outings. Considering his relatively light career workload in the majors, there is a very good chance that Lively is running out of gas if he hasn't already. If Lively continues to struggle, Cleveland may have to remove him from their starting rotation come playoff time.
Lively has faced the White Sox once this season, allowing three runs on six hits in 6 innings while striking out six and walking one. Perhaps facing the worst team in baseball will get Lively back on track with the postseason right around the corner.
Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?
Jonathan Cannon gets the nod for the White Sox as they look to get back in the win column. Cannon is coming off one of his better starts this season, allowing just one run on five hits in 5.2 innings in a surprising 8-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles. This does appear to be an outlier performance, as Cannon gave up 18 runs in 25.2 innings during the month of August. It is much more likely that Cannon will pitch similarly to how he did in August rather than his shutdown outing last Wednesday.
