It will be Carlos Carrasco taking the ball with a chance for the Cleveland Guardians to secure a series win in Boston. Carrasco's last start was sort of a mixed bag, as he did allow only one run on five hits, but five walks were issued in the contest which saw him depart after just 4.2 innings. A much better command of the strike zone is going to be required if the Guardians are going to win Thursday afternoon.

Red Sox hitters have only 17 at-bats against Carrasco, but they have taken advantage of their limited opportunities, registering six hits. Even though only one run has been driven in, a .353 average and .421 on-base percentage could be trouble for Carrasco if he continues to struggle throwing strikes.
