Logan Allen
Guardians rookie Logan Allen finds himself at number 10 of Reuter's list of left-handed starting pitchers. It goes without saying, but Allen was not ranked last month and now finds himself among the best left-handed starters in the eyes of Reuter.
Allen was named "Top Rookie" for left-handed starting pitchers by Reuter and he added the following.
"Injuries opened the door for Cleveland prospects Logan Allen and Tanner Bibee to reach the majors a bit earlier than expected, and both have impressed in the early going, Allen, 24, has a 2.72 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 39.2 innings since making his MLB debut at the end of April. Who will be the odd-man out with Triston McKenzie and Aaron Civale both on the mend?"
- Joel Reuter on Guardians pitching
Reuter has a good point here. Cleveland's pitching staff is getting healthier and with that some will find themselves in new roles. A potential odd-man out not named by Reuter is Cal Quantrill. Quantrill's last two outings have not gone well and a move to the bullpen seems like a natural move for the 28-year old righty.
