If there is one thing that up until now that has not been accomplished this offseason, it is the Cleveland Guardians sorting through their outfield. This is a group that, for the most part, has a lot more questions than answers, and that could make things difficult for the Guardians to generate consistent offense from their non-Steven Kwan outfielders.
Kwan and Thomas can be penciled in on most days
The aforementioned Kwan mans left field every game he is available to, but he just so happens to be the only regular outfield starter for Cleveland. It is the rest of the players and their respective abilities and talent levels that makes it difficult to project just what the Guardians will get from them.
Lane Thomas figures to see plenty of playing time in center field should he remain with the organization. Thomas has been mentioned multiple times as someone who the Guardians could trade, and it would not be surprising for Cleveland to deal him in an effort to get even more money off of their books for next season. If Thomas were to be dealt, it would allow for a more even distribution of playing time among the rest of the part-timers, but if he does not get traded, it would be just another part-time player being tasked with far more playing time than he should probably get.
