Throughout his 13-year career, Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez has accomplished quite a lot. Five Silver Sluggers and three Top-3 finishes in American League Most Valuable Player voting are just the beginning. Ramirez has managed to work his way up multiple all-time leaderboards in Cleveland baseball history, with his latest feat going beyond just a team record.

During Cleveland's 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, Ramirez registered his 250th stolen base in his career. This, combined with his 260 career home runs, makes him the first and only player in Guardians history to steal 250+ bases and hit 250+ home runs. Ramirez is also the only active switch-hitter to have recorded this stat line.

By itself, this is a very impressive accomplishment for Ramirez. Being the first player in team history to do something is always going to draw some attention, especially for a franchise playing its 125th season. As it turns out, Ramirez has joined an extremely exclusive group of which there was only one other member in baseball history.

Ramirez became the second switch-hitter in the history of baseball to hit 250 home runs and steal 250 bases, joining Carlos Beltran in a club that now has two members.

To do something that only one other player has ever done previously is incredibly special, and that other player being on the cusp of entering Cooperstown with a potential induction coming as soon as next year, being mentioned in the same sentence as Beltran, is only going to lead to future conversations regarding Ramirez's future Hall of Fame candidacy.

Of course, there is a long way to go before any real discussions can be had about that possibility, considering that Ramirez has plenty of baseball left to play in his career. As long as Ramirez can continue to be the consistently high-impact player he has been since becoming a full-time player nearly 10 years ago, a real case will be able to be produced about his possible future induction.
