Remember three days ago when it was 70 degrees and felt like summer?
Hope you enjoyed it.
With Mother Nature rearing her head in Northeast Ohio yet again, the Cleveland Guardians announced earlier today that first pitch for their game tomorrow (Tuesday, April 7) has been moved to 1:10 p.m. instead of its previously scheduled start time of 7:10 p.m. due to expected frigid temperatures.

Monday’s game (April 6) wasn’t impacted as of 10:30 a.m.
Just another April in Cleveland.
Guardians move up start time of Tuesday’s game due to weather
The decision to move up Tuesday’s first pitch is 100% the right move considering how ugly the forecast looks for tomorrow, as Accuweather projects it to be 31 degrees around the start of first pitch with a “real feel” of 26 degrees.
That’s football weather, not baseball weather.
While it’s projected to be 31 degrees with the same real feel during the afternoon when the game is going to be played, the sun will at least be out, which will help a little bit.
The change also serves as another case of Guardians’ baseball providing a lens into how wacky of a weather week it is.
After getting picture-perfect 70 degree weather for the home opener on Friday (sans a quick rainstorm), Saturday’s game was postponed due to thunderstorms. And while both teams played 18 innings yesterday, it came in front of sparse crowds thanks to the temps that were in the low 40s with a blistering wind.
We went from short-sleeves to CJ Kayfus mashing home runs while wearing a hoodie underneath his jersey.
It’ll be more of the same for tonight’s game, as it’s projected to be 44 degrees with a real feel in the low 20s. There’s also the threat of rain, which could throw even more of a wrench in the plans.
Luckily the Guardians are going to see the Royals plenty of times this year, so it would likely be (relatively) easy for both teams to find a suitable make-up day should any of the games this week be postponed.
Tanner Bibee is scheduled to go against Kansas City’s Michael Wacha later today, while Tanner Bibee will battle against Noah Cameron tomorrow. As of now, that should still be the plan since nothing has been postponed.
The joys of playing baseball in Cleveland in April.
