Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

Following their series over the Tigers in Detroit, the Cleveland Guardians will have Gavin Williams take the mound for their first matchup with the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.

Williams has enjoyed an incredibly strong month of May, allowing five runs total in 20 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers, and Minnesota Twins. Los Angeles poses a type of threat Williams has yet to face this season, but this contest between the two clubs appears to be coming at the right time, considering his recent success on the mound.

Mookie Betts (2-3) and Freddie Freeman (2-3) are the only Dodgers batters to have more than one hit against Williams in previous matchups, while Enrique Hernandez (1-2) and Tommy Edman (1-1) have one hit each.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

Yoshinobu Yamamoto comes into Monday night's matchup with a 1.86 ERA, 0.914 WHIP, and a 10.6 K/9 ratio. The 26-year-old right-hander has kept opponents scoreless in five of his last eight starts, a streak which dates back to April 4th.

The only Guardians batter who has faced Yamamoto previously is Nolan Jones, who is 2-4 with two runs driven in coming during his time as a member of the Colorado Rockies. For the rest of the lineup, this will be their first time facing Yamamoto.
