Who is the Cleveland Guardians probable starting pitcher?

After winning their first of four games to be played in Detroit, the Cleveland Guardians will have Slade Cecconi start Friday night's matchup at Comerica Park.

Cecconi initially broke into Cleveland's rotation following an injury to veteran Ben Lively, but with his performance in his Guardians debut, he looks like he is good enough to stay in the mix moving forward. The 25-year-old allowed threee runs on five hits while stirking out eight in 5 innings of work in Cleveland's 4-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds last Saturday.

Even though the Guardians came up short in this contest, Cecconi pitched well enough to get another start while they wait for Lively to return from the injured list. If Cecconi can pitch at a similar level against a far superior opponent in Detroit, it may be someone else who gets bumped upon Lively's return.

Who will the Cleveland Guardians lineup face?

Looking to even up the series at one game apiece, the Detroit Tigers will turn to Jackson Jobe on Friday night.

Jobe has been solid this season, pitching to a 4.12 ERA and 1.449 WHIP in 39.1 innings for Detroit. ERA and WHIP do not tell the whole story when it comes to Jobe, as he has allowed more than three runs in just one start, with his six runs allowed in 3.2 innings in Colorado two starts ago affecting his overall pitching line. Expect Jobe to pitch better than what those numbers suggest, as he has proven tough to solve in the past and could very well do so again on Friday night.

Who is starting for the Cleveland Guardians today?

LF Steven Kwan, CF Angel Martinez, 3B Jose Ramirez, DH Kyle Manzardo, 1B Carlos Santana, 2B Daniel Schneemann, SS Gabriel Arias, C Bo Naylor, RF Nolan Jones
