Based upon the offseason activity of the Cleveland Guardians, they are mostly counting on players who were on their roster last season to help match or even exceed last season's success. Considering how 2024 went for the following four players, it is not hard to imagine them enjoying a better season in 2025.

1. Bo Naylor - Catcher

2024 was the first full season for Bo Naylor in the majors, appearing in 123 games for the Guardians. Naylor's offensive performance was not particularly impressive, slashing just .201/.264/.350 with 13 home runs, 10 doubles, and two triples with 39 runs batted in.

While this does leave a little to be desired, everyone should have expected his offensive production to look like this last season. There were two primary objectives for Naylor in 2024, neither of which were focused on what he did at the plate. It was about Naylor getting acclimated to being a major leaguer and the work that comes with catching a major league pitching staff over the course of an entire season. Whatever Naylor did with a bat in his hand was secondary, as his catching duties were not going to take a backseat.

Now that Naylor has an entire MLB season under his belt expect the offense to catch up in 2025. Do not be surprised if Naylor's stat line in 2025 closer resembles his numbers in Triple-A (.255/.379/.507 slash line, 28 homers, and 26 doubles in 126 games).
