Shane Bieber Becomes First Guardians Pitcher to Win Gold Glove

The Guardians ace won his first Gold Glove this year, beating out Toronto’s Jose Berrios and the New York Yankees’ Jameson Taillon. All three were nominated for the first time, and Bieber is the first Guardians pitcher to ever take home the award. The Fielding Bible rated him as the eighth-best fielding pitcher by Defensive Runs Saved, posting a .969 fielding percentage in 32 chances.
