Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves were so close to making the World Series, but came up short to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now, they might be in the market to add an impactful player to get them over the hump. Given the cheaper contract of Jose Ramirez, he might be the perfect player.

Austin Riley was the Braves’ third basemen for majority of the 2020 season and while he is still young, his performance has been a bit underwhelming from what we expected to see from him. Riley can also play multiple positions, which could open the door for Ramirez to step into the role at third base.

The Braves also have a lot of top prospects, specifically outfielders, that could interest the Tribe. Ramirez would most likely push Riley to the outfield, lessening their need for the prospects and possibly increasing their likelihood to trade one of them.

With young stars not only established, but signed long-term in Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies the Braves have a bit of extra money that they could be inclined to spend on Ramirez. They could end up being the dark horse in any Jose Ramirez trade talks leading up to Spring Training and maybe even into the season.
