It’s the weekend Tribe fans! That half work week wasn’t too bad. If you work for the Cleveland Indians you didn’t do much. But don’t worry, we’ll find something to talk about.

It’s Wild-Card weekend in football so I’m sure Cleveland Indians baseball is in the back of everyone’s mind. It should be, the Indians haven’t done much while the rest of the league wait for Bryce Harper and Manny Machado to go somewhere. Take your time, guys.

On the there were a few small signings yesterday, but nothing of significance. MLB.com’s Mandy Bell did a #IndiansInbox that generated some interesting responses. I look forward to her coverage of the team after taking over for Jordan Bastian. In this piece that she wrote she actually lists what she believes will be the Indians lineup given the current roster. Give it a read here.

Everyone’s favorite twitter-blocker, Hoynsie did an inbox of his own early this morning as well. He also addressed the current state of the Tribe as well as the AL Central. Interestingly enough, both Mandy Bell and Paul Hoynes addressed questions about a possible return for Melky Cabrera and stated they think that Jason Kipnis will play second base with Jose Ramirez returning to third base.

Lastly, we posted a piece yesterday addressing some news about Danny Salazar. On Thursday, Terry Francona stated that Salazar is not on pace to be ready for the start of the season. We speculate what it means for his Spring Training as well as looking back at how he played when he was actually healthy.

There you have it. Get yourself ready for a fun football weekend by reading about baseball. After my Colts play today I’ll probably even throw on an Indians jersey tomorrow. It’s never too soon to be ready for baseball season.
