Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber could be on the move this offseason, and one team in particular remains connected to him in trade rumors.

Get your popcorn ready because the Winter Meetings are underway and the Cleveland Indians appear to be active in trade talks.

Corey Kluber and Trevor Bauer are the two names to keep an eye on, but it appears that only a few players are safe from being traded this offseason. Anyone not named Jose Ramirez or Francisco Lindor could realistically be moved.

We start the day with this tweet from Jon Morosi:

Intensifying! What does that mean?

Well, all the executives are in one place and teams don’t want to miss out on acquiring a star pitcher like Kluber. That could mean the Dodgers want to try to get something done right away.

I still worry about trading Kluber and the effects it could have on the team over the next few years. What if Trevor Bauer regresses, or Carlos Carrasco has an average season? And if both Cody Allen and Andrew Miller don’t return, that moves a lot of postseason experience out of town.

The obvious benefit to trading Kluber is the return that can come with it. The Indians could get a player like Cody Bellinger from the Dodgers, who could be a mainstay for years to come. Still, he would only be one player in the lineup as opposed to a starting pitcher who has been such a weapon for so many years.

Deciphering trade rumors is never easy, but it is clear the Indians are actively shopping Kluber. I just hope that if he is moved, the Indians are getting several major-league ready players in return. This is not a time for adding prospects.
