4) Second straight walk-off vs. the Twins

After a grueling game against the Twins the night before, the Indians found themselves in another tense battle against their rivals. The Indians took a 4-0 lead early, but it wouldn’t last long. The Twins would start a rally in the fifth inning that would carry over to the next inning, eventually tying the game at four.

Greg Allen had made so many trips back and forth between Cleveland and Triple-A that should’ve renamed I-71 “the Greg Allen expressway”. Allen was fresh off another trip to Cleveland, but he made the most of this one.

In the ninth inning, Allen reached base and stole second in an instant. When Michael Brantley hit the single to score Allen, Progressive Field exploded. Seeing the Indians pull off another incredible walk-off win was an electrifying experience.

3) Getting the first win over the Yankees

The Yankees had tortured the Indians since the 2017 ALDS. In their first series at Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Bombers swept the Indians out of the place, and they had won the first game of this series.

It was time for the Indians to finally win one. No one thought it would happen with Shane Beiber on the mound. Bieber had an up and down season for the most part, but he came out firing against the Yankees in this game.

The Indians opened things up with four runs in the first two innings, and Bieber was dealing. But in the fifth inning, the team ran into trouble. Bieber had surrendered three runs and Aaron Judge was at the plate to keep the rally going. Greg Allen caught a fly ball to end the inning.

The game was tense the whole way through and the bullpen did their job, despite Cody Allen allowing the tying run to reach after giving up a Giancarlo Stanton homer.
