In this time where we are wishing for more baseball, we reflect on games that were played last year. Here are the top 5 Cleveland Indians games from 2018.

While this Cleveland Indians season didn’t feel as magical as others, it still had some pretty incredible moments. It’s always fun to go back and look at some of the games that make watching this team feel so fun (sometimes).

From instant classics to fantastic finishes, each MLB season is filled with so many ups and downs. But today we’re taking a look at some particular “ups” that stood out in 2018.

5) Walk-off against the Red Sox

If there is one thing the Indians can put on their mantle, it’s that they had a winning record over the World Series champions. The Red Sox came to Progressive Field after the two teams played a remarkable series at Fenway Park a few weeks prior.

This would be the final home game of the regular season and they wanted to go out with a bang. After the Red Sox took the early lead, the Indians started a rally in the third inning that saw them score three runs. The Red Sox would tie the game up in the next inning. Then the two teams went back and forth trading scoreless innings.

Then in the ninth inning, Greg Allen drove in the winning run and proceeded to be showered in baby powder and Gatorade. The win gave the Tribe one final walk-off moment and the season series over the Red Sox. Looking back at it, that walk-off felt like the last bit of fun we had as Indians fans in 2018.
