Turns out the Houston Astros are (allegedly) no-good dirty cheaters. They may not have won the series against the Cleveland Indians too cleanly.

Turns out things may not be so clean as Alex Bregman suggested in Houston.

According to a report from Metro Boston, a man claiming to be an Astros employee was removed from the media credentialed area next to the Red Sox dugout after seemingly taking pictures and texting.

Supposedly, security was tipped off after the suspicious activity was noticed in the ALDS against the Cleveland Indians. They were caught red-handed in Game 1 of the ALCS.

This is beautiful. Mike Clevinger was among the multiple Indians players to hint that something was fishy during the ALDS. The MLB has announced they are looking into the incident. I’m not going to use your time to call the Astros cheaters. The Indians were vastly outplayed in the ALDS.

But that little asterisk next to the Astros will look fairly entertaining. I’m sure Astros fans will come after me for this article, bringing up how they swept the Cleveland Indians. But it just feels right to see something like this come up. It’s not bad enough that they actively root for Roberto Osuna, but now you’re rooting for Joe Schmo with a camera.

On top of all of this, the Astros who talked so much about Trevor Bauer‘s accusations of them using illegal substances get caught doing some actual illegal things. On top of that, the Astros host Justin Verlander; the guy who accused the Indians of stealing signs from the Tigers during his time there.

Do I sound bitter? Maybe a little. Am I jumping the gun? Somewhat, although it’s all but proven. Are the Astros going to be looked at differently? Absolutely. But if Astros fans want to complain, they should complain about their own woes while sitting behind the Red Sox in the ALCS.

You would just hate to see more light shined on this. Trevor Bauer has already taken on the Astros fanbase yet again. But something that may taint the Astros dynasty would just be devastating. But if the Astros would truly Never Settle for a clean win, it would be disappointing, to say the least.
