The Cleveland Indians have named the starting rotation for the ALDS, along with the start times for the first two games in Houston.

Cleveland Indians fans saw Trevor Bauer open the 2017 postseason in what was a questionable move by Terry Francona. This time around, Bauer may not even make a start.

The Indians announced the ALDS starting rotation, with the starter in Game 4 being the only real question, given the series goes that far.

This seems like the best option for the team. Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco would both be available later in the series and Trevor Bauer can realistically pitch in every game out of the bullpen. He is a great starter but he may be an even stronger weapon in the postseason if he is available for more than just one single game.

We will get a better of idea of the plan for Bauer once the series actually begins. Hopefully, the Indians sweep the Astros and there won’t even need to be a Game 4 starter.

In addition to the rotation, the starting times for the first two games have been announced and have caused some to pull their hair out and curse Major League Baseball.

That Friday start time is brutal, but does give fans the opportunity to call off work by giving some lame excuse to a manager who may not watch sports. Game 3 will be on Monday and in Cleveland. Ideally it will be at a time when everyone can watch without worrying about being yelled at in their office.

The waiting game continues but at least we now have a time to look forward to. In the meantime, there are two Wild Card games to watch that should provide excitement as usual.

Next. Indians should use Trevor Bauer out of the bullpen. dark

It all gets underway Friday in the middle of the afternoon. Have you called in sick yet?
